THEY NEED EDUCATION AND FINANCIAL STABILITY
It is a long established fact that during pandemic, the most affected were women. Statistics show that women spent more time at home, but they were more vulnerable, as a lot of them lost their jobs, faced domestic violence, had restricted access to medical care or help and were less likely to get promotion. Women still face challenges related to:
1. Unconscious Bias
2. Unequal Pay
3. Difficult Expectations
4. Limited Career Advancement Opportunities
5. Sexual or Gender-Based Harassment
6. Lack of Sponsorship or Mentors
7. Becoming C-Suite Members
Meet The Founder
I will present myself very simple, as anyone knows me: Mădălina. I started to write in the second year of college, expressing myself in a blog titled "Read between the lines", while I was studying Journalism. I named my first blog after a song with the same name, by Aaliyah.
Later on, it came this idea to build a project to support women and help them achieve the impossible. As a woman myself, I faced a lot of challenges when it came my relationships with family, from my personal life and professional life as well.
Why strong women? Because this is what you need in order to build a life according to your values. As women, we are more vulnerable, most of the time we give up easier on our dreams to please people around us, we are less used to step in front and ask for more.
All the statistics I read during these years showed me the same thing: women need more support to create a better life for them and those around them. They need better opportunities, better salaries, more access to information, safer places to live, respect from society, as they are the ones who influence most their families and communities.
