I am Mădălina, the Founder of Strong Women, and I have decided to share a part of the knowledge and experiences I gained over the years. As a traveller, I visited a lot of museums, cathedrals, restaurants and of course hotels, and each time people ask me to recommend something, it takes me time to think which ones I found the best.
This time I will share with you one of the best museums I have visited till now in Europe, some of them are among the biggest in the world, having the experience of travelling in 18 countries, and visiting more than 100 of them.
And be prepared to laugh a bit, because you'll see another part of me, less corporate and with more sense of humour.
The first one will be the favourite for gentlemen: THE MUSEUM OF BEER, which I had the opportunity to visit back in 2017, in Prague, Czech Republic, when I was having my first travelling experience abroad after a pause of 11 years.
It is not a big museum, but it is a funny one, where you can actually see how beer is produced and see a lot of varieties. Also, at the end of the visit, I don't know if it's still valid, I received four types of beers to taste (included in the price).
So yes, my advice is to have lunch before you go, to not happen to you as it did to me, tasting 4 types of beer at 10 a.m.
And no, I will not add that picture here, for various reasons.

The second one I added in the list comes from Vienna, Austria, and it's called the NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM, which is huge and is a good opportunity to take the kids with you this time.
You'll find a lot of minerals, dinosaurs, prehistory, animals, and much more. The giant dinosaur and elephant are the biggest attractions, but my attention was caught by this ship.

I will continue with a famous museum, this time from Paris, right. Parlez-vous français?
Get ready to visit the LOUVRE, in France. I don't know if it's the case to remind you that here you can find the iconic masterpiece of Mona Lisa, by Leonardo Da Vinci, where it is always crowded, but what I admired is that in the other parts of the museum, you can actually visit it relaxed, as it is airy and spacious, compared to the British Museum from London, which I found too crowded for my taste.
But I have some other options there as well, so stay with me till the end.

The next ones are from Switzerland and one of my favourite museums so far. Well organised, big, where you can find a lot of things. Whether it is Geneva or Zurich, it is always a good choice.
I will start with Geneva. As you know, it's the capital for United Nations, but also the capital for very beautiful museums.
First one is CERN. If you love science, technology, then CERN is a must have in your list. Here you can explore exhibitions on the universe and particle physics, take guided tours of detectors, and see the birthplace of the World Wide Web, with free admission to most activities.
Also, it is famous because it is the home of Large Hadron Collider (LHC), the world's largest and highest-energy particle accelerator.

Also Geneva is the home of Red Cross Society, the largest humanitarian organization in the world. If you care about people and want to understand and see beyond yourself and learn what challenges are around, you should visit RED CROSS MUSEUM.
You'll hear a lot of impressive stories, you'll see how the organization has helped and continues its work around the globe and maybe, for the first time, you might see how lucky you are. The museum preserves over 30,000 objects.
This is about ALL OF US!

Do you watch time to see how much I still want to talk?
Then you'll know that the next museum is the one where you can put time on hold and see the luxurious watches at PATEK PHILIPPE MUSEUM.
It's not very big, but it's a time where you can see art at its finest. If you love watches, as I do, you won't mind leaving your phone behind and just enjoy.
Yes, you are not allowed with phones inside.

Caught your attention? Still counting?
Then we will move this time to Zurich, at the BREITLING MUSEUM.
This one is not very big also, but it has a very interesting story behind it, with a central collection of 88 rare watches, celebrating the brand's 140-year legacy through its core "universes": Air, Land, and Sea. And if you enjoy playing, at the end you can have an experience with a flight simulator.
Make sure you don't crash.

So since we're talking about transport, we'll move to my favourite one, this time near Zurich, in Lucerne, called MUSEUM OF TRANSPORT, of course.
It covers an impressive total area of around 20,000 square metres of exhibition space, so it is not small, but HUGE. It is considered one of the largest and most extensive transport museums in all of Europe. Here you can find anything that moves, from rail transport, road transport, aviation and space, navigation.
I will not tell you that much, you must discover it. Period.

And if the children get bored or your loved one doesn't respond positively, I recommend you to change to another museum, in Zurich, to take something sweet. It's not a joke.
LINDT HOME OF CHOCOLATE MUSEUM is our next stop. Here be prepared to raise your blood sugar more than necessary, to find the history of cocoa, to see how they prepare Lindt chocolate, to see how people work and of course, to taste and buy.
Don't forget about those from home, as they will get mad.

Now, we will fly to London, in the capital of the United Kingdom, where I visited the most museums so far, but not all of them caught my attention, starting from the British Museum, Tower of London and others.
And yes, I do recommend each of them, they are impressive, but here is a selection made by me, so the first one I will start with is the NATIONAL MARITIME MUSEUM, where I felt like a fish in the water and probably no surprise why.
This is the biggest in the world and you can find it in Greenwich, where you have more alternatives of transport. Me personally went by cable car over Thames.
It will take you in an impressive journey of the world's biggest discoveries and also, you will learn a lot about the maritime world.
And yes, art is art. Don't forget to swim.

The second one from London is where I met Bob Marley, not the real one of course.
It's known as MADAME TUSSAUDS MUSEUM and here be prepared to take a lot of photos, not like you missed that much.
Here you'll find around 150 lifelike wax figures, with a lot of known public figures or celebrities.

We'll end up with another big museum from London, called VICTORIA AND ALBERT MUSEUM, where you can find over 5,000 years of human creativity.
Because, yes, we are Creators, we no longer live in a cave because we started to create our world and we must continue to remind ourselves that.
Here you can find cast courts, jewellery, fashion, theatre, South Asia collection and so many more.
It's situated in South Kensington and like many other museums from London, it's free to visit.

Yes, this is the city where I walked 80 kilometres in 4 days, until my legs just refused me. If you just want to visit the city by foot, I recommend Skechers shoes, lightweight, with a thicker sole, because in this city it’s all about stones and stairs. So let’s go first.
How could I forget? The CAPITOLINE MUSEUM is the oldest in the world; it was founded in 1471 by Pope Sixtus IV and designed by Michelangelo in 1536. Here you can find statues, inscriptions, and Renaissance art. This guy over here, I guess, will look familiar to you.
And no, you are not allowed to sit as I just did.

And I do LOVE panoramic views.

It’s a small museum, but very chic. Some critics consider this probably the most beautiful museum in Rome.
Here you can find some of the most famous fine art displays in Europe, known for its Bernini sculptures and Caravaggio paintings.

It is free to visit on the last Sunday of every month, and the other general Italian state museums are free to visit on the first Sunday of every month. Let that be our secret!
I stayed around 1 hour and a half, starting from 9 a.m., waiting for entrance, but it’s totally worth it. I would consider it one of the most beautiful places I have ever had the chance to visit.
You just start to ask yourself how much creativity and power can lie within a man’s hand, especially when you enter to see Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel ceiling.

Here you finish the journey with me, hope you enjoyed it.
If you did, please don't forget to like or share it with friends that might need an idea of what to visit or let me know which other great places you went to, so I can make the plan for my next trip.
Wish you wonderful vacations ahead!
